Violin Lessons

Location:
My teaching spaces are located in Eagle and Edwards, Colorado.

Commitment:
I ask that prospective students are available for regular weekly lessons, with flexibility to reschedule when needed. For students under 10 years old, a parent or guardian is encouraged to attend the lessons and participate in a supportive and collaborative environment. Commitment to helping your student practice on a routine basis at home is essential for maximizing the benefits of our lessons.

Equipment:
Students are required to have an appropriately sized violin in good condition to take lessons. I am available to recommend violin sizes and outfitters to help you find and instrument option that works for you.

Cost:
$50 for a 30-minute lesson
$60 for a 45-minute lesson
$70 for a one-hour lesson

Amara Sperber is an insightful, innovative, and caring teacher that embraces the philosophy that all children have the capacity to achieve excellence. Students will be fortunate to have her as their teacher and mentor.
— Kimberly Meier-Sims, The Cleveland Institute of Music
I was very impressed with Amara’s kindness while clearly conveying the teaching goals to very young children. When a child seemed unfocused, it was not a cause for her to express negativity, but she merely communicated that the child was welcome to watch or rejoin the group at any time. The child rejoined soon afterwards because there was motivation to play with the others again. This relaxed manner of conducting the class had a wonderful effect on the students, who genuinely loved working with and for her.
